Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter C. Paul, C.C.E is the Current Chaplain.

A BRIEF PROFILE OF REV. PETER CHIAGHALAM PAUL CCE (Congregation of Christ the Emmanuel)
Rev.  Peter Chiaghalam Paul is the last of the seven children of the late Mr. Paul Nnadede Jaja and the late Mrs. Bridget Ugadia Paul of Ngwaokahia in Itu-Ahiafor Ukwu Autonomous Community, Obingwa LGA of Abia State, Nigeria.

EDUCATION AND FORMATION
Primary School: Itungwa Community Primary School.
Secondary School: Annunciation Seminary Amaudara and Immaculate Conception Seminary Ahiaeke, Umuahia. He left the Diocese and joined the Congregation of Christ the Emmanuel (A Public Association of the Faithful).

Senior Seminaries and Universities
He got a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from St Joseph’s Major Seminary Ikot Ekpene and Pontifical Urban University, Rome, and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, from the Federal University of Uyo.

Bachelor’s degree in theology at the Pontifical Lateran University, Rome.
Licentiate in Canon Law and Doctorate in Canon Law with the Dissertation titled “Foundation and Juridical Erection of an Indigenous Institute of Consecrated Life According to Cann. 578-579 in the Context of the Young Church in Africa” at the Pontifical Lateran University Rome.

APOSTOLIC WORK EXPERIENCES
He was associate pastor at San Giovanni Battista, Buti in the Archdiocese of Pisa in Italy. The associate pastor at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Mississauga, from 2016-2019 and a six-month administrator in the same parish. He was also the associate pastor of St Mary Immaculate Church in Richmond Hill, from June 2019 – April 2022. And a 3-months administrator of St Norbert Catholic Church, North York, from April 2022 – June 2022.

He taught Canon Law to the Permanent Deacons at St Augustine’s Seminary in 2023. He is currently the Associate Pastor of St Thomas Aquinas Church Toronto and the Chaplain of the Blessed Iwene Tansi Igbo Catholic Community in the Archdiocese of Toronto, from 2022 to date.
